Busy Bees are back !

Posted Sunday, September 10, 2017

Our first week back was a mix of getting to know you conversations and tales of seasides, plane , train and car journeys, adventures with family and friends. We have played in the garden. The children have coped very well with the change in routine when they first come into Busy Bees in the morning and afternoon – and we feel this has helped some children settle a lot quicker.

It was lovely to see how the children had grown and great to meet a few of our first new starters. We are looking forward to meeting more of them over the coming weeks.

If you have any questions please speak to your childs keyworker and they will be able to answer them for you.

Our theme for this half term is All About Me – this will give the children opportunities to talk about themselves, their home, their pets and things that they like.

We would like to make a small display of family photo’s – so it would be great if you could send the children in with a photo for us to talk about and display – we will return them at the end of this half term.

Our special days and planning  are displayed on the parents notice board Рplease take a photo if this helps. I have also attached planning below.

Special Days Autumn 1 17-18

Our Special Day this week is tomorrow and we are making our own sandwiches for Sandwich Day  Рchildren will have a choice of fillings to add to their sandwiches which they will be eating at snack time. There will be at least one cooking day every half term Рwe have timetabled them on different days of the week Рthis will allow every child to take part.

We hope to organise a ‘Getting To Know You’ coffee afternoon at the end of this half term for our new parents and existing parents – we will keep you posted as to when that will happen.

Please remember that the children need a pair of wellies to keep at Busy Bees permanently, and please name your childs coats, fleece, t shirt, bag etc, this will help us to return them easily.

Welcome Back from The Busy Bees Team and we hope the children are enjoying being back.
